SNAP Center

What is SNAP?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as EBT, helps ensure all Minnesotans get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Through a monthly stipend that can be used for food, SNAP helps your household budget go further.

If you are approved for SNAP, you can use your benefits at many grocery stores, farmers markets and senior dining sites.

1 in 8 people in the US get support from SNAP.  In Minnesota, the average household receives about $200/month. For homes with kids, the average is over $330/month.
